This page describes what this website collects, where it goes, and how to have it deleted. It describes what the site actually does, not what a template says a website might do.
No cookies, no analytics, no other companies
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixel and no advertising code. Nothing on the page is fetched from another company: the typeface, the images and the stylesheets all come from the same server as the page, so reading this site does not hand your visit to a third party.
That covers what the page does in your browser. Two other things are worth being straight about: the contact form, which sends us what you type into it, and the server that answers the page, which sees the request you made. Both are described below.
The contact form
The form asks you for three things: your name, your email address, and your message. Those are the only things about you that it sends. Alongside them the submission carries a short label saying which form it came from, and the hidden field described below. Nothing is added about you that you did not type.
When you send it, it becomes an email to hello@revivepartners.io containing your name, your email address, your message, and the time you sent it. That mailbox keeps a copy on our own server and also forwards a copy to a mailbox hosted by Google, so Google receives the message too.
The form also contains one hidden field that you will never see and cannot fill in. Some automated spam software fills it in anyway. If a submission arrives with anything in that field, it is discarded and no email is sent.
IP addresses, and what happens to them
To stop the form being used to send floods of mail, the server counts recent submissions. That count is filed under a hash of your IP address rather than under the address itself, and the file behind it holds nothing but a few timestamps. The hash is a label for counting, not a secret: it is derived from your address and anyone who guessed your address could recompute it. Your address in readable form is not written there, and it is never included in the email we receive. These counter files are not deleted on a schedule, so one may sit on the server after it has stopped being used for anything.
Separately from that, the server that answers this page necessarily sees the address your request came from, and web servers ordinarily record it in a log. We have not turned that off. We use logs only to keep the site working and to look into abuse, and we do not use them to build any picture of who you are.
Where it is kept, and who else can see it
The website and the mail server both run on a virtual private server we rent in the United States. Three parties can therefore see a message you send: us, the company that hosts the server, and Google, which receives the forwarded copy.
We do not sell your information to anyone, we do not share it with anyone else, and we do not use your message to market anything to you.
How long we keep it
We keep a message for as long as we still need it for the thing you wrote to us about, and we delete it when we no longer do. There is no automatic schedule, so if you would like yours deleted sooner, say so and we will delete it.
Asking us about your information
Email hello@revivepartners.io and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will answer, and we will do it. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need to quote any law at us.
If this changes
If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date below changes too. We do not keep a quieter version of this somewhere else.
